Improving Leadership through Competencies
|
Situation: A sugar manufacturer and exporter needed to ensure high performance from the
management team enhancing employee satisfaction throughout the
organization.
|
Solution: Strategy Link designed a key competency catalog including planning, cost
reduction, teamwork, and leadership, resulting in more than 100 performance
indicators. These indicators allowed the company to track and improve their
managers’ performances, identify training needs and performance gaps
throughout the firm, and recognize the key employees within the
organization. ERM tools such as 360° evaluations were used to assess the
client’s current capabilities. SLS’ training modules were implemented to
close the gaps discovered through the analysis.

| Status: The company’s staff is currently being coached on the results of the
performance evaluations, examining the strengths and weaknesses identified,
as well as scheduling the training courses required to close the gaps. The
next step to improve this client’s performance is the implementation of the
Target Pro solution. |
